Skincare brand BeeBio has signed a deal worth more than $5 million with a China's largest traditional medicine company.
The BeeBio products will be sold and distributed by Tong Ren Tang International (TRT) through its Chinese web platforms and in a chain of stores throughout China and the rest of the world.
Made in New Zealand from highly active Manuka honey, BeeBio is a range of "luxury advanced" skincare products sold globally through clinics, spas, department stores and duty free operators.
Chief executive of Natural Health Products, the company behind BeeBio Elizabeth Kolovos said since launching two years ago BeeBio had seen signifcant growth, including a 400 per cent increase in the past year.
"Having been approached by many Chinese businesses, it was critical we made the correct long-term decision - partnering with a company that has the same vision and values as us, as our goal is to be New Zealand's first global luxury skin care brand," Kolovos said.
