The National Bank, creator of the Small Business Monitor, won the supreme award at the Excellence in Business Support Awards last night.
The monitor is a quarterly survey that helps business owners observe trends likely to affect the small-business sector, which generates more than a third of the economy's output.
The awards, in their second year, were created by small-business specialist Sarah Trotman to recognise organisations and individuals who contribute to growth.
Among the 10 winners were 3D design company Arcad, business coach provider The Knowledge Gym, Government business investment service Escalator, and the AUT Technology Park.
