Changes for builders

The Government is about to lower the bar for builders with changes to the licensed building practitioner scheme.

Joining the scheme is to be made faster, cheaper and easier.

The new streamlined process means competent builders and tradespeople with a good track record can have their skills and knowledge formally recognised.

Changes will be introduced from March 1, 2012.
