Sky TV's online service has been hit by at least its second outage within a week, with customers unable to watch the first two hours of the Black Caps game against Australia at Eden Park.
Sky Go services are since back up and running, Sky announced on Twitter.
"SKY Go services are now back up and streaming! Thanks for your patience and we apologise for the interruption."
The Herald has tried to contact the broadcaster's boss John Fellet but was unable to reach him.
Customers complained on social media of being unable to access the Sky Go application.
The Herald's attempt to log onto the service also failed.
It is the second time in less than a week that sports fans have been thwarted from watching major events.
Customers also complained on social media on Sunday of being unable to use the Sky Go app - during a time when the Black Caps were playing Pakistan, the rugby Sevens was on in Wellington and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was being screened.
The app allows customers to stream some Sky channels on their phone or tablets when away from their televisions.
The New Zealand sharemarket reached its highest level in a month.
