Actor Charlie Sheen stands to make a fortune from growing fame on Twitter.

The Two and a Half Men star has gained 1 million Twitter followers in 25 hours and 17 minutes - record time, according to Guinness World Records.

Sheen seems likely to profit from his instant web stardom, though he has not done so yet. He is being advised by Ad.ly, which helps celebrities earn money from endorsements on social media.
