An Australasian shakeup of part of Pernod Ricard will not see the international liquor company quit New Zealand, the business said yesterday. Two New Zealand-based executives denied it was centralising operations in Sydney.
Last week Australian media reported Premium Wine Brands chief Jean-Christophe Courtres as saying it was pulling its leading labels under one roof.
But Pernod Ricard New Zealand public relations manager Cathy McKeown and managing director Fabian Partigliani said the formation of Premium would not change how their division operates.
"Pernod Ricard New Zealand will continue to produce, market, distribute and be responsible for our leading New Zealand wine brands. Pernod Ricard remains highly committed to New Zealand ... and long-term development of its wine and spirits portfolio," Partigliani said.
