Facebook may have been around for more than a decade but there are still a few hints, tricks and tips many users may not know about still emerging today.
From your secret Facebook inbox to taking a glimpse into the lives of strangers around the world; here are a few of best hidden gems.
See all the people who have rejected you
If you've ever wanted to see all the users who have rejected your friend requests on Facebook, then good news! (Or bad, depending on how popular you are) There is a very simple way to do it.
Dedicated users of the social network for the last ten years will probably have had one or two rejections along the way to creating a friends list that likely includes random ex-primary school classmates you would avoid in the street, work colleagues and distant relatives.
It takes less than 60 seconds, here's how you do it:
• Open Facebook (in a browser, not the app) • Click on the friend request tab • Select 'view all' in the drop down menu • Then click on 'view sent requests'
You can then either cry about all those people you thought were your friend or celebrate that no one has ever refused to be your friend.
You've probably seen a plethora of Facebook Live videos creeping into your News Feed over the past few months but there is another lesser-known live-streaming feature on the site.
By clicking on the Live Video icon under the Apps section on the left-hand navigation bar you can access feeds of people recording clips around the world.
Prepare to be amazed or creeped out.
Access your 'other' inbox
Did you know about the secret Facebook Messenger inbox?
When Facebook decides something is probably spam, it diverts it to your Message Request inbox, where it can languish unread until the end of time. Or not, if you know where to find it.
To view these messages:
• Open up Facebook Messenger on your phone • Hit the 'Me' section at the bottom right of the screen • Then go to the 'People' section • Select "Message Requests" • The hit the link saying "See filtered messages"
At the start of June, Facebook launched an addictive football game to celebrate a summer of soccer as Euro 2016 kicked off.
How to play the football game:
• Update your version of Messenger • Send a football emoji to your friends • Tap the emoji once it has sent • Start playing football!
See every photo your friends have ever liked on Facebook
There is a simple way to see every photo you have ever liked on Facebook, as well as all the photos your friends, family and significant other have liked too.
All you need to do is head to the tool bar at the top of your Facebook profile and search: "Photos liked by me."
If you want to see all the images your friends have liked then type in "Photos liked by..." followed by the person's name.
You can even filter the photos by year, place and who they were posted by, so you can enjoy spending hours looking at all the photos you've liked since joining the social network. Or, alternatively, speedily unlike them all.
Play chess
You can also play a game of chess using Facebook Messenger!
Just open a conversation with the person you want to play and type '@fbchess play'.
