The Herald on Sunday approached some of New Zealand's top businesspeople to see if they would consider filling Donald Trump's shoes in a local version of the hit reality TV show The Apprentice.
Emerald Group boss Diane Foreman was delighted. "My hair's all my own, I promise. I haven't been approached and I'd need to think about it. I think I've got a better hairdresser."
Television producer Julie Christie hadn't heard about the show either, and Australasia's wealthiest man Graeme Hart is also unlikely to want the job. His personal assistant said he was unlikely to be keen. "He keeps such a low profile - it's not something he would do."
There was more enthusiasm from investor and Wellington Phoenix soccer team owner Terry Serepisos. "If someone approached me I'd be interested - I think I could do a good job."
