The restructuring of Software of Excellence's Enterprise business has been completed, with chief executive Brian Weatherly saying the Asia-Pacific Enterprise business unit has been sold and the United States Enterprise business established as a 49 per cent-owned standalone profit centre.
The company said in November that it would withdraw from selling software to dental schools and public health providers and focus on sales to dental practices.
It said the restructuring would result in monthly cost savings of about $152,000, or $1.8 million a year, and that the total costs of the restructure, which will be included in the 2006 financial results, would be between $6.5 million and $7.2 million.
