Regal splendour at Langham

After an $8 million refurbishment, the new-look Langham Hotel will be opened today.

The Great Room in the property on the corner of City Rd and Symonds St can now seat 900 guests banquet-style and 1400 guests theatre-style.

Changes have been made to a large part of the hotel.

A spokesperson said that a new entrance to the Great Room has altered the face and exterior of the former Sheraton Hotel, which became The Langham five years ago.

Last year, $4 million was spent on the hotel's Chuan Spa.
