KEY POINTS:
International hotel chain Accor has revealed images of its planned $100 million hotel to be built in Auckland.
Accor said yesterday that it would brand the new building as a Pullman hotel, as part of a global drive to expand the five-star brand.
The hotel is to be built on the corner of Gore and Customs Sts opposite the Britomart precinct.
Hotel investors CP Group will own the building.
Accor expects to open the 20-level, 290-room hotel in the second quarter of 2010, ready for the 2011 Rugby World Cup. The building will have a rooftop pool and is aimed at the meetings, conventions and exhibitions sector, with room for up to 800 delegates.
Accor has 29 hotels in New Zealand, nine of them in Auckland.
