A radiologist shortage means Pacific Radiology's acquisition of Wellington Radiology would make little difference to competition in the region, the Commerce Commission says.
The commission, which yesterday cleared the purchase, said the alternative was Wellington Radiology's exit from the market, leaving only one private radiology provider.
