Pod asks $5.8m for Brisbane building

Textile and apparel company Pod yesterday announced the conditional sale of a Brisbane property for A$5.3 million ($5.83 million).

After allowing for all costs, the company said it expected to book a gain from the sale of A$1.8 million. Pod said it was selling the property because it was "surplus to requirements".

The property used to house Pod's Logan Textiles, which was shut after being destroyed by fire in October last year. Pod rebuilt the building but decided against reopening the factory.
