Plan B Wealth Management has appointed John Atkinson as its chief executive in this country.
He was previously head of group marketing at Plan B in Australia.
Plan B said that in the past year it had secured about $220 million in funds under management and access to about 1000 clients in New Zealand.
In September 2006, Plan B acquired Strategic Asset Management which has offices in Auckland, Tauranga and other provincial centres, together with Rutherford Rede (Northland) with offices in Whangarei.
In July, it announced the establishment of a business alliance with accounting and advisory firm Polson Higgs Business Advisors, which has 120 staff in Dunedin and Christchurch, and more than 3000 clients.
Strategic Asset Management founder Alex Fowler had a significant shareholding in Plan B New Zealand, and would continue to provide consulting services, Plan B said.
