A company with multiple wage arrears offences has been fined by the Employment Relations Authority.
Phoenix Publishing Limited was ordered to pay a penalty of $10,000 for their most recent trip to the authority.
The authority said this was at least Phoenix Publishing's seventh appearance in court, most of which have involved wage arrears.
Former employee Julie Lennon took the matter to the employment court seeking wage and holiday arrears.
Phoenix Publishing filed no statement in reply, and failed to attend the authority's investigation meeting.
