Questions being raised over the financial future of the Wellington Phoenix have been dismissed by the club.
A newspaper this morning reported the club's owner Terry Serepisos was being chased by creditors for a $2 million debt to the Wellington City Council.
However, Phoenix CEO Tony Pignata said the club's fans have no need to be worried because the club is fine.
Pignata said it was business as usual for the club and dismissed the report simply as tall poppy syndrome.
