The multi-million dollar Remuera home of bankrupt Bridgecorp boss Rod Petricevic has been sold for an undisclosed sum.
Estate agent Leila MacDonald hung up her phone when asked for comment, but her boss, Barfoot & Thompson managing director Peter Thompson, later confirmed the sale of the home, with a capital valuation of $4,410,000, via tender.
He was unwilling to comment further.
Quotable Value records show Petricevic and his wife Mary paid $988,800 for the century-old house in 2001.
The home stands on a 1689 square metre section on the corner of Remuera and Omahu Rds and incorporates a self-contained apartment, which advertising material says, would be 'ideal for a nanny'.
Other features include 3-car garaging, marble lined pantries, french doors, a designer kitchen, two powder rooms, and a large wine cellar.
Petricevic put the house on the market to raise funds to defend allegations his family trust owed $2.2 million to a Bridgecorp subsidiary.
In February, Bridgecorp subsidiary Navigator Finance claimed the R.M.Petricevic Family Trust owed it $2.2 million.
The family mansion was owned by the trust, which put forward a proposal to sell in order to raise funds.
It was reported the sale of the house was conditional and that Navigator had to agree to the price and whether the funds - after the mortgage had been repaid - would be placed in trust for protection.
That case was back in the High Court in Auckland today.
