Global beverages firm Foster's Group says the cost of treating grapevines affected by an insect pest in Victoria's Yarra Valley will not be material.
Foster's said yesterday that Victoria's Department of Primary Industries and Resources had confirmed the presence of phylloxera within a small section of a Yarra Valley vineyard.
Phylloxera causes a gradual deterioration of vine health but does not affect the quality of wines or grapes or pose any risk to people or livestock.
