Tax consultants investigated for fraud

Police are investigating a tax consultancy business for possible fraud.

People who have lodged tax returns with Intrepid Taxation Consultants are urged to contact Lower Hutt CIB to arrange for the return of their documents.

Detective Sergeant Mike Sears confirmed police are investigating the consultancy, which had suddenly closed its operations in Lower Hutt, Carterton and Auckland.

"We are holding a large amount of documentation that we'd like to see returned to clients," Mr Sears said.
