Tax receipts tracked slighty below forecast in the half year to December, latest Treasury figures out today showed.
The Government collected $25.5 billion in tax receipts for the six months to December, just $23 million, 0.1 per cent, below forecast.
Tax revenue (tax due even if not collected, rather than tax actually collected) was $114m, or 0.4 per cent, above forecast at $26.7 billion.
Income tax receipts were tracking $77m, 0.8 per cent, ahead of forecast at $9.83 billion while company tax was $110m, 2.3 per cent, below forecast.
