Government tax revenue rising

The Government collected $13.1 billion in tax revenue for the three months ended September 30, 2.3 per cent ahead of forecast, Treasury data shows.

Direct tax of $8.6 billion was 2.4 per cent higher than forecast and total indirect tax of $4.5 billion was 2 per cent above forecast. Total tax revenue was 10.9 per cent ahead of the same period a year earlier.
