KEY POINTS:
A Wellington judge has ordered two medical reports on former Access Brokerage chief executive Peter Marshall to determine if he is fit to stand trial on fraud charges.
In the Wellington District Court yesterday, a ruling on Marshall's fitness was postponed until December 8, when the reports will be submitted. Marshall, 60, was to have been tried this year on 15 charges brought by the Serious Fraud Office in relation to the collapse of Access almost two years ago.
The trial was postponed because he suffered a series of strokes and was too ill to instruct his lawyers. It is now scheduled for the first half of next year, but it is understood Marshall will apply for a stay on health grounds.
