Investor confidence has jumped from nine to 16 per cent according to the latest ASB Investor Confidence report.
Head of Relationship Banking and Financial Services James Mitchell says rental property remains the highest ranked asset, but generally people are relatively optimistic about their investment returns.
Mr Mitchell says there has been a lift in managed funds and bank deposits. He says confidence among those with shares as their main investment, also rose from 25 per cent to 58 per cent.
