After weeks of study and exams, which she described as 'pretty scary', Sally Ridge has entered Auckland's property market, becoming a licensed agent and listing her first place for sale.
Ridge is now listed on Bayleys' web site as a licensed salesperson, but she said it wasn't easy.
"It was pretty scary. It took eight to 10 weeks. You go through the whole thing and do it paper by paper," she said of the rigorous licensing process.
Ridge and partner Warren Fenning have teamed up, both gaining their national certificates in real estate and both working out of Bayley's Ponsonby office. Ridge said she had been practising for two weeks.
"I've always really loved property. I hope to get a lot of listings. I have built, designed and done a lot of interior design. It was the next direction in my life I felt like I needed to take."
