KEY POINTS:
Construction of a $35 million apartment development on Wellington's waterfront is expected to go ahead next year.
Developer Globe Holdings said it has obtained all necessary resource consents for the project, at the site of the former Patent slip site at 326 Evans Bay Parade.
The development, alongside Cog Park, will comprise 43 residential townhouses and apartments, and a ground-level cafe.
Construction begins in 2007 and the apartments will be completed by 2009. The development is called Patent 326.
It will comprise three free-standing buildings; Semaphore, Helmsman and Navigator.
Semaphore, the largest building, will have five levels with eight penthouse apartments; seven of which will have their own private roof top garden.
The apartments and townhouses will range in price from $500,000 to $1.5m.
