KEY POINTS:
Food company Goodman Fielder today announced the resignation of its chief financial officer a year after the company relisted on the share market.
The Australasian food group returned to the share market in December last year after Graeme Hart restructured the company and put in new management.
Goodman Fielder said today that chief financial officer Andrew Beck would be leaving, effective December 31.
"Mr Beck was approached to join Goodman Fielder in August 2005, to work through the pre-listing and subsequent float of the company and to establish the finance function required to support a publicly listed organisation," the company said in a statement to the stock exchange.
Mr Beck has spent a great deal of time travelling and he had decided that he wanted to re-establish himself in a Melbourne-based role for family reasons.
Managing director Peter Margin said he respected the decision.
