Interest rates may be creeping up, but there is no sign of them cooling our enthusiasm for the housing market.
The latest quarterly consumer confidence survey by the All Real Estate website, says more than two-thirds of people are confident house prices will rise in the next six months.
Spokesman Shaun Di Gregorio says higher rents are one reason people are still keen to own property. However, he is warning potential buyers not to underestimate the Reserve Bank's ability to push interest rates even higher.
The next Official Cash Rate announcement is scheduled for the 26th of this month.
