Devon Funds Management, the fund manager set up by well known investor Paul Glass has announced it has hired some of Brook Asset Management's top stuff.
Glass was one of the founders of Brook Asset Management, along with Simon Botherway. Brook was later sold to the Macquarie Group in 2007.
He has now successfully lured away some of the Brook team, with today's announcement that Mel Firmin, Chris Gaskin and Slade Robertson have joined Devon.
Firmin was Brook's executive director and Gaskin and Robertson portfolio managers.
"Chris and Slade were directly responsible for successfully managing funds holding over $1 billion in Australasian equities. Mel, Chris and Slade will work on specific projects during their respective transition periods," said the release.
Devon Funds Group acquired Goldman Sachs JBW Asset Management (NZ) Ltd in March 2010 and renamed the business Devon Funds Management Limited.
