Overseas interest in purchase of Centrebet

Casino and hotel operator Jupiters has seen interest from Australian and overseas companies looking to buy its sports betting agency Centrebet, says a source close to the deal.

"A trade sale looks likely with a tight timetable some time in mid-June," the source said.

Australia's largest gaming group, Tabcorp Holdings, announced this month a A$1.2 billion ($1.3 billion) deal to take over Jupiters, but the plan did not include Centrebet.
