Eircom, Ireland's biggest phone company, has accepted a €2.9 billion ($6.05 billion) takeover bid from investors led by Irish billionaire Sir Anthony O'Reilly.
His consortium, which includes Goldman Sachs Group and Soros Private Equity Partners, offered €1.32 a share in cash and warrants.
