NZME has appointed Katie Mills as its chief marketing officer.
Mills, currently group marketing director at education and training provider Aspire2 Group, will start at NZME in December.
"Katie is both a high performer and a supporter of people and their growth – a winning combination of attributes and a great fit for NZME," chief executive Michael Boggs said this afternoon.
Mills spent 15 years in senior roles at MediaWorks and led a team of more than 30 marketers and delivered annual marketing and brand strategies for television, radio and online.
Mills was also behind the marketing campaign for the launch of the Newshub brand.
NZME owns the New Zealand Herald, five other daily newspapers as well as radio stations such as Newstalk ZB, ZM, The Hits and Hauraki.
