KEY POINTS:
Health sector IT company Orion Health has secured two large contracts in the Middle East.
The contracts, its first in the fast-growing region, will see the company supply its Rhapsody Integration Engine to Saudi Arabia's King Fahd Medical City and National Guard Health Affairs.
King Fahd Medical City is one of the kingdom's largest healthcare providers with a 1400-bed multi-hospital healthcare complex in Riyadh, while the National Guard Health Affairs provides medical care to National Guard employees and their dependants, as well as to Saudi nationals with tertiary health problems. It comprises four hospitals and 60 health centres around the kingdom.
Orion chief executive Ian McCrae said the Middle East was a fast-growing market for health IT.
Orion has an annual revenue of $50 million, and has more than 1000 clients globally.
