Two kiwi craft breweries have won international acclaim at the Japanese International Beer Competition in Tokyo.
Marlborough-based Moa Brewery and the Kapiti Coast's Tuatara Brewery Company have both won gold in the world event.
Moa's Pale Ale took out the international-style Pale Ale category, while its Noir beer won bronze in the German-style Schwarzbier and its Moa Breakfast won bronze in the Fruit Wheat beer category.
The three-medal haul brought Moa's tally for the year to 27.
Tuatara's IPA came out top of the English-style Pale Ale category and its APA won bronze in the American-style Strong Pale Ale category.
