TOKYO - Japanese video game maker Nintendo Co Ltd said its revenues and profits for the just-ended business year have beaten its own forecasts, thanks to robust demand for its DS handheld games.
Nintendo said revenues are likely to have totalled 966 billion yen (US$11.4 billion) for the year ended March 31, up from its previous forecast of 900 billion yen.
The Kyoto-based company said its profits are also likely to have exceeded its prior projections, but it did not give specific figures.
