New web post at Advantage

WELLINGTON - Oracle Corporation's former Australasian executive Mike Stobbs has been appointed to the new position of chief executive for web services with technology company Advantage Group.

In this position, Mr Stobbs will be responsible for spearheading Advantage's electronic services business.

He will also have responsibility for overall strategy and performance in this area of Advantage's operations.

Mr Stobbs was previously Australasian director for regional practice with American-based Oracle, which is the world's second-largest producer of software products.

While he was employed with Oracle, he was responsible for initiating and implementing a number of its developments in the electronic commerce area.
