First undies - now health foods.

All Black and Jockey underwear model Dan Carter will launch a line of pre-packed salads and veggies this summer.

The products, made by a company he part-owns with teammates Ali Williams, Richie McCaw and others, are expected to be on shelves in November.

A company spokeswoman said the packaging would bear Carter's name and image.

The range would include "protein salads" such as chicken and tuna, and veggies pre-cut for the barbie.
