Global GPS company Navman Wireless will launch today its latest cloud-based technology, Adaptive Intelligence, a reporting tool to help companies using vehicle fleets manage spending and make decisions based on data collected on the road.
The Adaptive Intelligence system integrates with the Navman platform as an add-on service, and records metrics including distance, job costs and fuel usage, giving customers the tools to better manage fleet logistics and be more cost effective.
Navman's director of business intelligence, Matt Minor, said the system was designed to be customised and would allow the company to engage with a broader customer base.
"Traditionally we've only ever focused on fleet managers because they want to get to the detail, but now we've got the ability to engage with more people overall in an organisation," Minor said. "We can also embed that data-driven culture within an organisation using the platform, so we've got the ability to change a culture within an organisation."
The system was aimed at transport, service, construction and logistics companies, and government services further down the track. The new system differed from most traditional operations by breaking down the analytics, allowing customers to look at different metrics individually.
