Natural History NZ wins trade award

Natural History New Zealand's export growth of about $18 million in five years has earned it a Trade New Zealand export award.

Managing director Michael Stedman said the award, which was in the design and creative category, recognised his company's growth in annual exports from $1.4 million to $20 million.

It also showed the company's ability to face challenges and not only to survive but to grow.

Trade New Zealand regional account manager David Grant said he believed the company was the first television production firm to receive the award in that category.

"It is a celebration of our export heroes. NHNZ's success in exporting to 180 markets is testament to its success."

The company is now a contender for the Exporter of the Year award in its category.
