The Waikato woman accused of visa fraud involving Filipinos working in the dairy industry has been granted continued interim name suppression.
The 35-year-old New Zealand-Philippines national appeared in the Hamilton District Court this morning.
She is facing more than 280 charges laid by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), including supplying false information, forgery, using forged documents and obtaining by deception.
Her lawyer, Rob Weir, says although there are many charges, they relate to only 16 or 17 individuals.
MBIE laywer Catherine Milnes, argued against name suppression and said woman had continued to engage in the same alleged activity while on bail, and publication of her name would stop that.
