My Food Bag has got the green light on the baby spinach it urged some of its customers to throw out yesterday following a listeria threat.
After further testing by its supplier Southern Fresh proved the packaged greens are within food safety guidelines.
Yesterday, some customers in the lower North Island and South Island who received the spinach were issued a discard notice.
My Food Bag founder Cecilia Robinson said their direct supply model meant they could proactively alert their customers of any supplier recall.
"In the three years since launch this is the first time we've had to use this process".
