KEY POINTS:
Three key appointments have been made to the University of Auckland's Human Resources team: Linda McLain has been appointed as deputy director, staff and organisational development. She was previously at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia as professional development centre manager; Jodie Williamson is now staff development manager in the staff and organisational development team. She was previously a senior training consultant with an insurance company; Cassandra Ellis is the new HR manager in the Business School. She was previously the regional HR manager for a large hotel group.
Theta Systems has appointed Antonia Girardet as a senior consultant. Girardet has an extensive history in the communications industry. Also appointed was Birte Kristensen as a .Net and Oracle consultant. Kristensen has extensive experience in software development.
Communications company Senate Communication Counsel welcomes three new members to its team: Tina Symmans joins as consulting partner to the Auckland office. She has spent 18 years as an advisor to boards of directors and CEOs in the New Zealand corporate sector; Raphael Hilbron has joined Senate as associate partner in the Wellington office. A former journalist for The Dominion and press secretary in the Prime Minister's office, Hilbron has run Vodafone's corporate responsibility and sustainability programmes for the past three years; Rory Newsam joins Senate as a consultant in the Wellington office. The former chief reporter for Radio New Zealand and bureau chief at TVNZ's Wellington newsroom, he brings extensive media experience.
