Plus4 Insurance Solutions, the national insurance broking and financial adviser group, has announced that Invercargill-based advisers Grant Maddison and Steve Oliver have joined the group, extending its presence in Southland and the Central Lakes District.

The NEXT Foundation announced the appointment of Bill Kermode as its chief executive. Kermode is a founding director of Direct Capital, one of New Zealand's most experienced private company investors. He has worked there for 20 years, during which time it invested in excess of $800 million in more than 60 companies.

New Zealand's leading analytical testing laboratory, Hill Laboratories, has appointed Jill Rumney as client services manager for the Food and Bioanalytical division.

Sovereign has appointed Pieter Breytenbach as head of claims. Breytenbach has 20 years' experience in the insurance industry.

Co-operative Business New Zealand has appointed Ian Macintosh as its new chief executive based in Auckland. Born in the UK, the experienced trade executive and community volunteer brings international experience to the country's co-operatives' champion, having worked in the Netherlands, Southeast Asia, Canada, and Australia, as well as New Zealand.
