Most of the 60 people employed by meat processing company Goulds Fine Food have been dismissed as liquidators take over the business.
Gould Bros, based in Lower Hutt, will remain closed as liquidators KPMG Restructuring try to sell the business and its assets.
It was revealed yesterday that the majority of the company's 60 staff had been dismissed.
Liquidators are still trying to determine how much is owed in outstanding wages and redundancies.
"The liquidators are in contact with employees and union representatives to quantify any outstanding claims for wages and redundancy and will be liaising with other stakeholders to resolve any outstanding issues arising from the closure of the business," KPMG said.
