The as-yet-unnamed overseas company mulling a takeover offer for dental software company Software of Excellence has been given another two weeks to conduct due diligence.
Software of Excellence said on April 30 it was opening its books to the mystery firm and expected a decision within 20 working days.
However that deadline passed on Monday with no word from either party.
Yesterday the company told the market the potential buyer had made "significant progress" but had asked for an extension of 10 working days.
"The independent directors committee has considered this request and, given the considerable resources that both the bidder and the company have devoted to the process, and progress to date, has decided to grant the extension," the company said.
