KEY POINTS:
The man who was in charge of Access Brokerage when it collapsed in 2004 owing millions made a brief appearance in court yesterday, having previously been too sick to attend.
Peter Marshall, 60, from Silverstream in the Hutt Valley, faces 14 Serious Fraud Office charges of false accounting and making false statements.
The discount brokerage collapsed with a $3.9 million shortfall in client accounts.
A three-week trial scheduled for last October was delayed as Marshall had ongoing poor health after a stroke.
His continuing health problems have caused delays this year but he was present in court yesterday.
A brief hearing was held in chambers before the matter was adjourned until May 31.
