KEY POINTS:
Stock exchange chief executive Mark Weldon has been named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
The forum selected 245 young leaders from more than 60 countries this year, 121 of which are business leaders.
The forum said the honour "recognises and acknowledges the top young leaders from around the world for their professional accomplishments, commitment to society and the potential to contribute to shaping the future of the world".
The current "community of Young Global Leaders" includes Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
The leaders were chosen from a pool of 5000 candidates.
