New Zealander Bruce Judge has quit his role as executive chairman of flagging listed Australian company Impact Capital.
Judge, whose companies Judge Corp and Ariadne were icons of the 1987 sharemarket boom and crash, re-emerged two years ago from 14 years of obscurity to take a controlling stake in ailing cleaning products company Big Kev's, renamed Impact Capital.
News of his entry sent the then near-dead listed company's shares soaring 10 times in value, reminiscent of the 1980s boom.
After peaking at A$4.89 ($6) in November 2004, they quickly dropped. They rallied from A38c to A45c after Judge's announcement.
