DIY, home improvement and outdoor living chain Bunnings pushed up annual New Zealand sales 10.5 per cent to make a record $899 million.
Jacqui Coombes, Bunnings NZ general manager, said the business which employs more than 3700 people here saw marked improvements across a wide range of areas.
"There were also pleasing increases in earnings and the level of returns for the year. The all-round breadth of trading performance was a highlight, with sales increasing in both consumer and commercial areas and across all merchandising categories," a statement from her office said.
Coombes said Bunnings had started out much smaller more than a decade ago.
"Our business continues to enjoy strong momentum and this record result shows how well customers are responding to all the work we've done to deliver them stronger value.
