The New Zealand dollar fell as a stronger US dollar continues to dominate markets, overshadowing a better-than-expected gross domestic product number.
The kiwi dollar fell to 69.07 US cents as at 5pm in Wellington from 69.34 cents late Wednesday.

Gross domestic product grew 1.1 per cent in the three months ended Sept. 30, accelerating from a revised 0.7 per cent pace in the June quarter, Statistics New Zealand said in a statement. The economy grew 3.5 per cent from the same period a year earlier.
