The New Zealand dollar rose from an eight-month low in the local session as some investors were lured to the relatively high-yielding currency ahead of the US Thanksgiving holiday.
The kiwi rose to US74.37c at 5pm from US74.17c at 8am, and was down from US74.40c on Wednesday. The NZ dollar climbed to A76.31c from A76.13c.
